• Countryfest

  • Saturday, October 13, 2018, the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce will host the biggest Countryfest 2018 ever in downtown Lindale at Blackberry Square. Since 1984, the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce has coordinated Lindale’s CountryFest. In 2017, CountryFest was the largest event in downtown Lindale and is possible because of a coordinated effort by the Lindale Area Chamber of Commerce, numerous Community Organizations, the City of Lindale/ Visit Lindale TX , and The Cannery Lindale. This family friendly event entertains thousands of visitors and residents, with arts and crafts, games for the kids, great food, live entertainment, and much more! Every year added variety is given to the expanding crowds. Get up early and stay late, because you are all invited to Lindale for the day!

It all starts in downtown Lindale with the Lone Star Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram LONGHORN FORD MINEOLA, TEXAS Harvest Hustle 5K at Countryfest 2018 scheduled at 8:30 a.m., with a portion of the proceeds to benefit: David Powell Food Pantry, Lindale ISD Education Foundation, Lindale Fire Department, and Lillie Russell Memorial Library in Lindale. The Harvest Hustle will begin in the heart of Lindale with check-in taking place in front of The Cannery Stage, adjacent to the Lindale “Pickers Pavilion”. This year’s race is coordinated with locally owned and operated iTRI 365 & Event Productions and the first three hundred to cross the finish line will receive a participation medal. Runners will “get their legs under them” on the flat first half mile traveling through a residential area east on North Street, then turn north onto the challenging rural rolling hills of Iron Mountain Road! At the “half way” point, runners will enter the beautiful Trail Creek Farm and will travel into the farm seeing a vast array of Christmas trees, run around the barn, out the gate, and back onto Iron Mountain Road. The back stretch for runners will again be the rolling hills of Iron Mountain Road, to the west turn onto North Street for the half mile dash to the finish! Following the Harvest Hustle 5K you can stroll through the arts and craft booths, gobble a turkey leg, take a look at the Longhorn Ford/Lonestar Dodge Car Display, and bid on auction items.

Children will spend the day at a variety of activities including: The Texas Bank and Trust climbing wall, Lindale PD’s Kid’s ID Booth, pony rides, petting zoo, train rides, face painting, and lots of carnival games provided by the First United Methodist Church Lindale.

The Kiwanis International will host a Silent Auction from 9:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Then, Kiwanis will begin a live auction, with numerous items being auctioned off from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Past auction items have included: restaurant gift cards, merchant gift cards, jewelry, autographed memorabilia, and trips.

This year the Crossroads Classic Car Show to benefit the Lillie Russell Memorial Library in Lindale will be held in conjunction with Countryfest. There will be Vintage, Street Rods, Rat Rods, Vettes, Mustangs, Modern, Classics, Mopars, and more to see.

New this year will be the Austin Bank Cornhole Tournament and spectators can enjoy food truck alley in the parking area by Whiskey Ray's Boutique and Board & Brush Lindale, TX. Visitors can also enjoy shopping and wine tasting at The Pink Pistol and Whiskey Ray's Boutique.
